Springtime sketch cards, part 19

By George Nadeau

Our DC Comics Super-Villains Trading Cards set releases tomorrow, May 27th, so this is the final entry of our bi-weekly Springtime sketch card blog series. Nineteen entries showcasing nearly 600 sketch cards created by more than 150 amazing artists. Thanks for sticking with us! If you've missed any of the previews, you can review all of them in our Facebook albums: Sons of Anarchy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and DC Comics Super-Villains.

Before we get to the final sketch card previews, here are details about the Batman Classic TV chase cards that will be inserted into our upcoming DC Comics trading card products. Inspired by the 60s Batman TV show, Norman Saunders illustrated a set of trading cards that was initially released in 1966. It is often referred to as the Blue Bat set because of the icon prominently featured on the front of the card frame. We are re-issuing the entire Blue Bat set on our premium Cryptomium cardstock. The first installment—9 cards—will be inserted into our DC Comics Super-Villains set. The remaining 35 cards (of the 44 card set) will be distributed as promo cards and in our upcoming DC Comics trading cards sets. Keep watching our Facebook wall to find out precisely where you can find the future Blue Bat card releases, so you can complete the Cryptomium collection.

And here are the final seven DC Comics Super-Villains sketch card previews:

We hope you enjoy breaking open our Super-Villains set starting tomorrow!

Thanks, again, for following our blog. We're actively working on several more trading cards sets scheduled for release in the second half of this year, so please continue to watch for new blog entries and Facebook posts for updates.
