So, now you’re saying, “All right, I’m sold. I’ve got the whole collection of Series 1 Mighty Meeples lined up on my desk. But what do I do with all of these extra Superman figures I’ve collected?” Well, have you ever considered using these collectible game pieces as, well, game pieces? A fun trend in board gaming right now is bringing your own pieces to a game night in order to customize your play. Instead of playing as boring old blue, you can now play as Batman.
Here are some of our favorite games you may or may not have thought of adding Mighty Meeples to:
Where, besides Star City, does the Green Arrow fit in without a second thought? Why, provincial France of course! We couldn't start recommending games to upgrade with Mighty Meeples without mentioning the most iconic meeple game out there. To use Mighty Meeples with Carcassonne you will need 8 of the same character or, if your play group approves, 8 figures who share a common theme.
Just a reminder: The Mighty Meeples: DC Comics Hall of Justice Collection comes with 7 figures (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter). All you need to do is find Cyborg, Green Arrow, or one of the rare Hawkman or Hawkgirl figures to have a fully rounded out Justice League of 8 Mighty Meeples to place on your roads, cities, and farms.
Betrayal at House on the Hill
Ghostbusters: The Board Game is one of our favorites. (Why wouldn't it be? It’s one of our games!) But when we want a good scare, we always pull out Betrayal at House on the Hill a classic from Avalon Hill. The Mighty Meeples:Ghostbusters Collection fits both the player count and theme of this game like a glove. Who better to explore a haunted mansion with than Venkman, Egon, Stanz, and Zeddemore? Bonus points for substituting Stay Puft’s oversized Mighty Meeple for your figure if you happen to become the target of the dreaded Haunt!
What games will you make even better with the inclusion of Mighty Meeples?
