Games We Are Thankful For

By Sara Miguel

It's November which means it's close to Thanksgiving, so we wanted to take the time and let you know what we are thankful for. This week, it's games we're thankful for!

5. Monopoly - Okay okay, this might seem cheesy but Monopoly is a classic that has stood the test of time and multiple licensed skins. The game play is simple, classic miniatures, and in what other game can you take down your Grandma at Sunday night dinner? A lot of gamers got their start playing simple games like this, and for that we are thankful.

4. Epic Spell Wars 1 & 2 - Why would we not be thankful for such a TOTALLY EPIC GAME?! ESW 1 made it to TableTop with Wil Wheaton, which is amazing and has allowed us to share the raw epicness with everyone. We get to let our inner Battle Wizard out during this game, and for that we are thankful.

3. Cards Against Humanity - During the Holidays there are bound to be family get togethers that end in a snoozefest. CAH is a great way to break the ice between family members you haven't seen in a year as well as get the creative juices flowing to keep your brain active against the tryptophan coma. It's easy to play and requires little space to play. It's an easy crowd pleaser, and for that we are thankful.

2. The Walking Dead: The Board Game - The Walking Dead Board Game was one of the first board games we ever produced. It requires a balance of luck, skill, and planning along with teaming up to see who will win - humans vs. walkers. This game is full of fun times and a little bit of backstabbing, and for that we are grateful.

1. Ghostbusters: The Board Game - It's impossible not to be totally thankful for this game and for the over 8,300 backers that helped make it possible. It is our first miniatures game, and hopefully not out last. We're honored to give this treatment to such a beloved property, and for that we are thankful.

What games are you most thankful for?
