DC Comics Lil Bombshells Series 1.5: A Closer Look at the Fresh Colors (Part 2)

Last time, we showed you five of the powerful women who are part of DC Comics Lil Bombshells Series 1.5, which refreshes the Series 1 figures with variant paint designs. Today, we’re going to take a closer look at the fresh looks of the five other characters you can find in the Series 1.5 collectible tins:
Harley Quinn was recently played by Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad, so her Series 1.5 appearance is a nod to her memorable portrayal in that film.

Katana’s new look is motivated by her Asian heritage. Since 2017 is the Year of the Rooster, Katana’s dress is inspired by the rooster’s red color and the touches of yellow are a nod to the fact that it is a lucky color throughout the year.
In the world of the Flash, a certain speedster has a design that plays off the Scarlet Speedster’s traditional costume. So, the variant of the Flash in Series 1.5 reverses her colors (even the milkshake is reversed), emphasizing the color yellow and offering some touches of red.

As a cat burglar, Catwoman’s first love is gems, but she can’t say no to gold either. Her “Lady Luck” look brings golden glitter to her entire outfit.
Poison Ivy’s fresh appearance is—appropriately, given her powers—directly motivated by nature. Her Series 1 figure evokes feelings of spring, so in Series 1.5 we have darkened her hair to a darker amber and have changed her flower to yellow, symbolizing autumn.

Like the previous series of DC Comics Lil’ Bombshells, Series 1.5 features two Noir Edition figures. The first time around these harder-to-find variants were Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn. For Series 1.5, the rare Noir variants are Catwoman and Poison Ivy.
