Night Eternal Card Game Releases Today!

By Sara Erickson

From the designer of Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullsfyre, Rob Heinsoo, Cryptozoic Entertainment is proud to announce the release of Night Eternal: The Game. Based on the universe within HBO's hit series, True Blood®, players will need to use their wits to survive this struggle for power.

In ancient times, immortal vampires played games with people's lives and with real blood stakes. Now in card game form, no real blood will be spilled, but the strategy, tactics, and power-plays still abound. Based upon a game that exists in the True Blood® universe, Night Eternal is a competitive card game of intrigue, power-plays and betrayal where vampires jockey for power, position and ultimate control of the rival factions: The Authority and The Monarchy. Players must find the right balance of strong and subtle plays to win their faction's blood pool in order to stay ahead at the end of the day. Will you be the player who has the most blood tokens when one of the players runs out of blood to lose?

“Rob Heinsoo’s work continues to impress," remarks Cryptozoic's Board Game Brand Manager, Adam Sblendorio.  "There are bluffs, power-plays, combinations galore in this fast-playing game. So much gameplay in a tightly wrapped package. Also, the components are beautiful.”

Night Eternal comes complete with 100 Game cards, 5 Faction Tokens, 56 Glass Beads with Velvet Bag and an easy to understand rulebook with a quick-start guide. Night Eternal is now available in hobby stores nationwide at a suggested retail price of $30.00. Please visit the Night Eternal product page for more information, and keep up to date with exclusive contests, promotions and game information on Cryptozoic Entertainment’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
